Anantnag, Aug 03: The Chairman of Ummat e Islami and Mirwaiz of Qazi Yasir has been arrested by Jammu Kashmir Police Just now from his office in South Kashmir after he issued a Hartal call on the anniversary of Slain Militant, Yawar Nisar on his first anniversary tomorrow (04/August/ 2018). The Mirwaiz of South Kashmir was also scheduled to lead a rally pro Freedom rally from Jamia masjid Islamabad.
An important meeting of Jammu Kashmir Ummat e Islami was held today in Islamabad. The meeting was headed by The Chairman of Ummat e Islami and Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir.
Addressing the important meeting, Mirwaiz Qazi yasir extended full support to the programme of JRL on 35A. Mirwaiz Yasir said that Indian state is creating unncessary deviations, but the people of Kashmir well understand it and stand by their sentiment of Freedom. “we will not succumb to any pressure, let them open the books of Kashmir history, they will know, Kashmir has never bowed down to any pressure,” Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said. He said the people of South Kashmir support the Call of JRL on 35A and will oppose the move by all possible means. “The struggle is not of selective people, but of every Kashmiri,” he said.
Mirwaiz Qazi yasir said that India cannot kill sentiments here, neither will any Kashmiri allow them to distort the demography and the geography of the state. He said that Ummat e Islami will support all the calls given by JRL on the issue of 35A.
Mirwaiz Qazi yasir also paid glowing tributes to Yawar Nisar on his first anniversary. He said that after consultations with the general masses of Islamabad and the requests of many youth, the Ummat e Islami has decided to give a shutdown call on the 4th of August for the Islamabad District. He requested the people of the district including the Shopkeepers and the transporters to observe a complete shutdown to pay tributes to Yawar Nisar on his first anniversary.
Mirwaiz Qazi yasir also demanded the release of Political prisoners including Sarjan barkati, Shabir Shah, Nayeem Khan and others.
