Shah Irshad elected as President Pulwama Working Journalist Association  
Srinagar, Aug 01: In a bid to strength the media scenario and address the problems faced by journalists, Pulwama Working Journalist Association today held elections for constituting the executive Body. 
The voting process was attended by all the professional Journalist of the District. Some 30 members participated in keenly fought elections presided by Patron Yasir Hanif. 
Shah Irshad ul Qadri belonging to organization India TV was elected as President.  While Nisar ul haq was elected as General Secretary belonging to Rising Kashmir / PTI and Javid Sofi Spokesperson organization 
Rising Kashmir.  Altaf Hussain was elected as the Office secretary.
After the election,  Dastarbandi of President Shah Irshad was held during an impressive function held in DC office Pulwama in presence of DC Pulwama GM Dar and District Information and healthy interaction on key issues took place. 
The newly constituted body and President have vowed to take up the issues of Journalists of Pulwama District forcefully and ensure all media ethics are adhered to.
Meanwhile Jammu Kashmir Young Journalist Association (JKYJA) congratulated the new President and Executive body on their election. (KNB)
