Srinagar, Sep 09: Jammu and Kashmir lecturers Forum expresses solidarity with TJAC.
While addressing the huge gathering of teachers and Masters working under SSA and RMSA at Pratak park Srinagar, the forum state president Dr. Manzoor criticised the Government of its utter failure to address the genuine demands of the teachers.
The day when whole country is celebrating Teachers day, our teachers are being booted and canned, which reveals the humiliating approach of the Government, Dr. Manzoor said.
He made a fervent appeal to Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to personally intervene into the matter so that the issue of 7th pay commission benefits and delinking of salaries of teachers and masters working under SSA and RMSA is resolved.
He assured the Teachers and TJAC led by Abdul Qayoom Wani that Jammu and Kashmir lecturers Forum will extend all its support in fight against the Government for resolution of these issues.
Forum Spokesperson Mir Fayaz also spoke on the occasion.
While expressing solidarity with the teachers and masters, he said that the implementation 7th pay commission in their favour and delinking of salaries from SSA and RMSA are their legitimate rights and the Government is doing violation of its own orders and set rules, thereby violating Labour laws.
He cautioned the Government of dire consequences if the steps are not expedited to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir lecturers Forum is also participating in the hunger strike organized by TJAC at Pratap Park Srinagar.
The other office bearers of J&K lecturers forum who showed their presence in hunger strike at Partap Park Srinagar are General Secretary Bashir Ahmad Mir, Vice President Sayed Fayaz, Chief organiser Haji Altaf Sofi and others. (KNS)
