Indian civil society should wake up from the slumber and protest this inhuman treatment of the Kashmiri students: Spokesman
Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir Students organisation Nasir Khuehami in a emailed Statement said that, Over 300 Kashmiri students assembled outside of Adesh Institute of Technology and Management in Mohalli, demanding action against the assailants who attacked a newly Kashmiri entrant inside the college without any rhyme and reason. The students carrying placards accused College administration of trying to hush up the matter. Khawaja Itrat President Jammu and Kashmir Students organisation who was leading Protest said that Attack on Kashmiri Students by some goons is a worrying factor for the students and parents. We demands punishment to the elements involved in beating and harassing of the Student.
In a Statement Spokesperson demands immediate arrest of all those involved in the assault on Kashmiri students and ensure adequate arrangements for safety, security. He claimed that every time Kashmiri Students were being harassed and no one in the Punjab administration utters a word or any action against the culprits. He Called upon the state and the central government to take effective measures to prevent such happenings. He demanded safety of students across India so that the nation builders can become the pillars of nation.
Meanwhile J&KSO thank Punjab Police for their positive response. Spokesman thank officials of Punjab Police for taking the matter seriously. Spokesman added that Indian civil society should wake up from the slumber and protest this inhuman treatment of the Kashmiri students. State Government often gives kneejerk reactions and does not have concrete policy or vision to stop this, he added.
