Kishtwar September 5: Senior National Conference Leader and Former Home Minister Mr Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo has demanded early clear of liability of huge amounts which is in crores under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA) job card holders from district Kishtwar. Kichloo said several political leaders, Panchayat bodies has repeated demanded for release of wages but falling on deaf ears. He said voters elected BJP with great hopes of development, but within a few months, the party has shown its real face by taking anti-people stand such as weakening of MGNREGA and giving huge tax concessions to industrial houses.
He said i (Kichloo ) am not demanding any development grant, but MGNREGA job card holder rightful money. He has warned the Centre government, rural development department that in case of further delay in the payment of liability, wages he along with thousands of Job card holders will start agitation.
“The state finance department has snatched the means of survival from families of poor workers,” added Kichloo and had sought the intervention of J&K Governor, Sh. “Satyapal Malik” because people have several expectations to the New Governor as the constitutional machinery already failed in the state, so minimum chances are there for the blued eyed persons those who creates hurdles for clearing this liability.
Kichloo appeal to the Governor on the behalf of the aggreived MGNREGA job card holders for immediate clearing the liability of District kishtwar which is around in crores, and he clearly warns the government if government failed to fulfill the genuine demands of the aggreived job card holders than an mass agitation would be launched.
