BUDGAM, SEP 28: Thousands of people on Friday attended the funeral prayers of slain militant Sheeraz Ahmad who was killed along with his associate in a gunfight with government forces in Panzan village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
The slain militant was a resident of Kralwari Chadoora in Budgam.
According to local sources, thousands of people including men, women and children thronged the ancestral village of slain raising massive pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
The funeral prayers of the slain militant was held in the local village after which he was buried in his ancestral graveyard.
Furthermore, a complete shutdown is being observed in Budgam with mourners taking shortest routes through paddy fields to reach slain militants home to offer condolences to his family.
