Srinagar, Oct 31: Jammu and Kashmir Bank Officers Forum (JKBOF) on Wednesday said that the present campaign against JK Bank seems to a sinister plan with a hidden agenda having internal and external players who cannot be friends of neither Bank nor its stakeholders
“Govt. Undertakings, including JK Bank, are run by the boards which are though autonomous yet contain majority of directors either nominated by Govt of the day or elected with its passive consent,” JKBOF Secretary General said in a statement issued to KNS, adding that “hence any developments in that undertaking is as per sweet consent of that Govt which may be political or non political.”
“To put the blame of any step initiated by management of the undertaking is totally wrong because it is the board which overlooks the affairs through its appointed management,” he said, adding that in case of J&K Bank, the position as revealed by the CEO and chairman on 16.10.2016 was not only alarming but grim.
“However, it is hard effort of the staff in total tandem with management planning which has overcome the worst but still has to overcome the bad,” he said.
He also said that the present campaign against the bank seems to a sinister plan with a hidden agenda having internal and external players who cannot be friends of neither Bank nor its stakeholders.
Pertinently, no management of Govt undertaking can take up a confrontation with owner (Govt of the day). “Hence, if any wrong doing or illegality is revealed after constituting a thorough probe then political establishment of the day has to take the blame,” he said
