Forces ‘ransack’ houses in Qazigund village during night raid, allege locals

Qazigund, Oct 17: The residents of Drinen Dawlatabad village in Qazigund town of district Anantnag in South Kashmir on Wednesday alleged that government forces carried out vandalism during an overnight raid.

Local residents alleged that the government forces were attempting to arrest some youths during the overnight, meanwhile, forces used teargas shelling over the residents.

Whereas, scores of residents came out from their houses and shouted pro freedom slogans, thereafter the clashes erupted between the forces and locals

“The forces allegedly smashed window glasses of the houses and damaged the properties,” alleged a resident.

Pertinent, It’s important to mention that two days ago government forces raid the same village during night and arrested two youth in stone pelting charges.
