Srinagar, 24 October:  chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested along with many others while leading a protest rally at Lal chowk is still in police custody. Yasin Sahib along with JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Ghulam Muhammad Dar and Hurriyat Leader Javed Ahmad Mir have been remanded up to 27thOctober and are now lodged at Police station Maisuma.


Jammu Kashmir liberation Front (JKLF) while condemning this police highhandedness and prolonging of incarceration of JKLF chairman and others has termed it as most undemocratic and unethical. It is pertinent to mention that Yasin sahib was arrested by police on 2nd of October and released on 21st of the same month and after only few hours of freedom has again been arrested and put behind bars.

JKLF has paid rich tributes to martyrs Doctor Sabzar Ahmad and martyr Asif Ahmad Gojri who embraced martyrdom at Nogam today. JKLF has said that after choking every little space on peaceful political resistance, India and its stooges are pushing our highly educated and passionate youth towards the path of ultimate sacrifice.


JKLF said that after scholar Manan Bashir Wani another scholar Doctor Sabzar has been martyred by Indians. These martyrs represent the soul our struggle for freedom and self determination and this nation is in all means indebted to them.


JKLF said that a nation whose sons are being massacred by tyrants cannot tolerate tyranny and illegal occupation silently and do anything that can strengthen the blood soaked hands of killers and murderers.


He said that nation of Jammu Kashmir will always remember and cherish these sacrifices and continue the struggle for freedom till the achievement of the sacred goal.
