JKLF stages a peaceful protest against killing spree, atrocities at Saria-Bala

Srinagar, 26 Oct: 27thOctober is the darkest days of our history. It is the day on which Indian army illegally landed on and occupied Jammu Kashmir. Right from the day 1st, India has been treating Jammu Kashmir as its colony and people of this land as its slaves who have no human rights. This was stated by the incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who is languishing in police custody along with JKLF zonal president Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Ghulam Muhammad Dar and resistance leader Javed Ahmad Mir. Also on JRL program JKLF leaders and activists along with people from many walks of life toady staged a peaceful protest at Sarai Bala Srinagar, against ongoing killing spree, Kulgam Carnage and other inhuman atrocities by Indian colonial forces across Kashmir valley.

JKLF leaders and activists including Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Asharf Bin Salam, Muhammad Hanif Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad ,Muhammad Aslam along with Hurriyat Leaders Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah , Shakil Ahmad Butt  and others and people from many walks gathered outside Saria Bala Shrine and staged a peaceful protest against ongoing slaughter of Kashmiri youth, spree of arrests, destruction of private properties and other colonial type atrocities by Indian army, police, SOG, and other forces. With placards in their hands depicting the photographs of innocent Kulgam martyrs, and raising enthusiastic slogans in favor of freedom and martyrs, Protesters marched towards Harisingh High Street Chowk and sat on a peaceful protest sit-in which was addressed by various JKLF leaders who condemned the ongoing killing spree especially Kulgam carnage.

Meanwhile Incarcerated and ailing Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that Indian colonial forces are on daily basis killing Kashmiris, blasting, destroying and vandalizing residential houses, arresting young and old and unleashing reign of terror at will and no one in international community is even uttering a word against this genocide of Kashmiris which is not only horrible criminal attitude. He said that on 27th October 1947, Indian occupational forces landed on our soil and till date we as a nation are being subjected to forceful subjugation by Indian state. He said that from the day 1st, people of Jammu Kashmir stood up against this Indian aggression and till date our fight for freedom and right to self-determination is continuing against all odds. JKLF chairman said that after occupying our land with military might, visibly scared of Kashmiri resistance, Indian leadership under the command of its first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, went to United Nations and pledged to hold referendum and provide people of Jammu Kashmir a chance to determine their future. Not only at UN, Indian leaders repeated these pledges in Indian parliament and even at Lal Chowk Srinagar in front of thousands of Kashmiris but today when we the people of Jammu Kashmir are asking for fulfillment of these pledges, Indian state is crushing us, killing our kith and kin, blasting and burning down our residential houses, destroying our crops and orchards, putting our young and old behind bars and by all these colonial type oppressions trying to suppress our voices for freedom. JKLF chairman said that a complete boycott of Indian sponsored elections in 2017, and recent municipal elections should serve as an eye opener for Indian policy makers and they should realize that neither iron fist policy of India nor its policy of incentives, bribes and gimmicks has been successful to finish or weaken Kashmiri resolve and determination for attaining freedom and right to self-determination. They have failed in past and are bound to fail in future too, asserted JKLF chairman .While paying rich tributes to recent martyrs who embraced martyrdom at Sopore, Pattan, Arwani and other places, JKLF chairman said that nation of Kashmiri is indebted to these sacrifices.

Meanwhile JKLF has expressed its heartfelt grief over the demise of Meraj Ud din Kakroo who was the brother in law of a veteran political activist Shabir Ahmad. A JKLF delegation comprising of Muhammad Jamal and others visited the bereaved family at Deviangan Hawal and expressed condolences to them. While praying for the heavenly abode of the deceased, JKLF delegation also prayed for the Sabr-i-Jamil of his bereaved family.
