Ganderbal, Oct 09: A man was found dead in a forest area in Wayil area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday, police said.
A police official said that the man was apparently killed in a bear attack in Wayil under the jurisdiction of police post Gutlibagh.
He said the deceased, according to an *identity card recovered from his pocket, was identified as Ghulam Mohammed Magray, resident of Khanan area of Kangan.*
Senior superintendent of police Ganderbal Mohammed Khalil Poswal said the man was apparently killed in a bear attack. The deceased had scratch marks on his face, indicating that he was attacked by a bear, he said.
“We have taken up the investigation,” he told.
