Mirwaiz strongly denounced the imposition of undeclared curfew in various parts of southern Kashmir and Srinagar

Srinagar,  Oct 26: APHC strongly denounced the imposition of undeclared curfew in various parts of southern Kashmir and Srinagar, sealing of Jama masjid and barring congregational Friday prayers for the 16th Friday this year and third in a row. Hurriyat strongly protested the  caging  of it’s chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his Nigeen residence and said that these oppressive measures as the worst form of dictatorial approach on part of the J&K government.

The Hurriyat said that anti Kashmir regime doesn’t only trample the social and political rights of people, but also the religious rights as well. The Hurriyat said that if these anti-people policies continue to remain in place, people will be left with the no option other than to hit the streets in protest.

Hurriyat payed glowingl  tributes to the eight armed youth martyred in various gunfights across Kashmir over the past 24 hours, stated that the worst ever state terrorism in on a full display under which Kashmiri youth are selectively killed. The Hurriyat said everyday bloodbath in Kashmir is the direct outcome of the lingering Kashmir dispute and the Delhi’s stubborn and milutary approach

Meanwhile, the Hurriyat urged people to observe October 27 as the black day in the history of Kashmir as on the same day lakhs of Indian troops landed on Kashmir soil to occupy the land. The JRL has already asked people to observe October 27 as Occupation Day stating that it was because of this day that people of Kashmir are suffering till date at the hands of lakhs of occupational forces who are responsible for the killings, and unabated rights violations.

In the meanwhile, a massive protest rally was taken out at Eidgah after Friday prayers against the ultimate oppression unleashed in the past one month that left over 30 people including a pregnant women dead, dozens of houses damaged and nearly 30 people maimed by pellets and bullets fired  by the forces. On the call of JRL, massive rallies were also held in various parts of Kashmir after Friday prayers.  At Eidgah, the protest was led by senior APHC leader Muhammad Shafi Khan, Mushtaq Sofi, Sahil War, Farooq Ahmed Saudagar,  Muhammad Yousuf Bhat and others
