Terms present situation in Kashmir highly volatile and explosive in nature
Srinagar, Nov 04: An extra ordinary meeting of members and activists of Awami Action Committee (AAC) was held at party headquarters Mirwaiz Manzil Rajouri Kadal here.
AAC observed that present situation in Kashmir was highly volatile and explosive in nature and that the GoI and its lakhs of forces present at every inch of Kashmir are busy killing, maiming and harassing Kashmiris across the length and breadth and there was an atmosphere of fear all around.
AAC members said that all the basic principles of democracy and humanity are trampled in Kashmir through the military might and every voice that is raised against the injustices is silenced through force. AAC said Kashmiris are being punished for just demanding their legitimate birth right as entire Valley has been turned into a slaughterhouse where the blood of innocent people flows on daily basis. The participants of the meeting strongly condemned the use of force during CASO against the inmates, arresting youth and thrashing the elderly including women and blowing up the houses by using explosives.
The participants of the meeting strongly denounced the frequent curbs on the movement of AAC patron and APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq terming it ultimate political vendetta. They took a dig at the present administration for a fresh wave of repression which includes frequent search operations, arrest of youth and resistance leaders, sealing of Kashmir’s biggest religious and spiritual centre, the historic Jamia Masjid on Fridays.
The participants of the meeting said that AAC is one of the founding organisations that stood against the New Delhi’s forcible control on Kashmir and even today, every single activist of the forum is committed and is steadfast towards the goal of right to self determination. They said AAC will continue to pursue the goal with full motivation and zeal, adding, that no member will budge from the basic stand of the party. The participants paid rich tributes to founder of AAC, Shaheed-e-milat Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Farooq and all the martyrs and took a pledge to protect the mission of martyrs at every level. The participants also stressed on every rank and file to follow the JRL programs in true letter and spirit.
At the end, special prayers were held for the martyrs and people of Kashmir that were led by Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon.
The meeting was chaired by senior AAC leader Mohd Shafi Khan while Sufi Mushtaq Ahmad, Ghulam
Qadir Beig, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Muhammad Yousuf Bhat, Moulvi Khazir Muhammad, Farooq Ahmed Saudagar, Muhammad Sidiq spoke on the occasion.
