Use of Force is highly regrettable, unfortunate, raised issue with Chief Secretary, Advisor and Home Secretary
Ganderbal Nov 09: National Conference District President and MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar , today accused forces of vandalizing property in Warpoh area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal District.
In a statement issued here, Ishfaq termed the action of forces on villagers as unwarranted and uncalled . Ishfaq expressed his sympathy with those who were beaten by forces and whose property was damaged.
While condemning the forces action Ishfaq said that he today raised the issue with Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam, Advisor K Vijaykumar and Home Secretary R K Goyal.
Ishfaq demanded that the locals are not harassed by the forces, stating that failing which, people will be forced to hit the streets.
He alleged that the government forces went “berserk” and barged into houses. “They vandalized property in worpoh village. The forces smashed window panes and other household items that came their way,” Ishfaq added.
Ishfaq condemned use of force and accused forces of crossing all the limits. Ishfaq sort intervention of state administration, DGP and Army top brasses in the matter, who always talk of showing restrain. He sought stern action and FIR against those who damaged property and beat people.
