Ganderbal, Nov 16: Taking strong note of attachment of a teacher by the chief education officer Ganderbal, people from Hayan Area of tehsil Kangan in central Kashmir’s District Ganderbal held a strong protest in Hayan, blocked Srinagar-Leh highway for hours.
The protesters said that CEO have suspended a teacher Bilal Ahmad shah and have attached him to Director School Education offices, after a video gone viral on social media where in teacher exposed many faults and negligence of education department in conducting recent exams of primary and middle classes.

They alleged CEO Ganderbal indicated that the officer don’t want their children’s to get quality and proper education as Bilal Ahmad is a very hard worker and a dedicated teacher of our area instead of praising him authorities have suspended and attached him which is sheer injustice with us.
They appealed director school education to revoke his suspension, attachment order as soon as possible, otherwise they will left no other option to held protest again.
