Ganderbal 18 Nov: To strengthen the party in Ganderbal, National Conference District President and MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar held an interaction with party workers here in Ganderbal today.
During the meeting the party workers highlighted various issues of the district.
After giving patient hearing to the grievances of party workers, NC District President Mr Ishfaq Jabbar said that National Conference has a golden and glorious history, the cornerstones of which are public service and national dignity. With its strong ideological grassroots presence and dedicated cadre, National Conference will continue to grow.
Ishfaq urged upon the workers to strengthen the party at grass root level by involving youth and women who form major component of vote bank.
Former CM Omar Abdullah has always aimed at the development of Ganderbal. He also talked about the initiatives taken during previous NC Government in J&K and in Ganderbal district.
“I am proud of my workers and the steps taken by them regarding the campaign for betterment of Ganderbal is appreciable. I always need support of my workers in every developmental initiative related to our constituency, so that we can bring change and development to our constituency in every sphere.
Addressing the workers Mr Ishfaq said, “The people especially students are appalled at the hide and seek if electricity. No power schedule is being followed by the power development here.
Mr Ishfaq appeal to the Governor Administration that power crisis should be dealt with on priority basis to ensure that people don’t suffer during the winter months.
He also stressed upon the Governor Administration to intervene for adequate compensation of losses of fruit orchards and other property suffered due to heavy snowfall.
Ishfaq said that 60% of CUK is functioning here in Ganderbal and requested Governor Satya Pal Malik for his interference regarding the complete shifting of CUK here in Ganderbal and start of work at main Campus Tullamulla. Ishfaq also appeal Governor Administration for expediting the work of four lanning Pandach Beehama road.
He stressed the need for futuristic planning of the constituency alongside improving the existing infrastructure like irrigation, power, drinking water, roads besides facilities like health, education and animal-care. “The local level administration has immense responsibility to improve the living conditions of the people by attending to their day to day needs”, he said, and referred to the initiatives he has been taking to ensure synergy between various engineering departments as far as development of the constituency is concerned.
Meanwhile , locals of Ganderbal in general and workers in particular have thanked the concerned MLA for taking the issues of Ganderbal Constituency which include CUK, Four lanning Pandach Beehama Road , District Hospital Ganderbal and other works and projects seriously in very short time.
NC youth district president Mir Mushtaq also spoke in the occasion.
