Water Crisis continue in Sopore, protest erupts 

Sopore, Nov 01: Residents of Ningli area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning staged a protest demonstration against the non availability of water for past many days in the area.

Reports reaching KNO that scores of people including women blocked Sopore-Tarzoo road to register their protest against PHE department.

Raising slogans against PHE department for failed to provide them regular water supply and for ignoring their sufferings in the absence of proper water supply in the area for past one week.

The protesting residents said that they will go for bigger protest if their demands will not be redressed at earliest.

Meanwhile angry protestors appealed the higher authorities of PHE department Sopore to look into the matter. Despite repeated attempts officials at PHE division Sopore were not available for commits.

Pertainally last week Green Town area of Sopore protested against water scarcity in the area for past two months, for which authorities assured to redress the issue at earliet sothat residents will not face inconvenience.(KNO)
