Budgam, Dec 04: The electric tubular pole of year’s old founded 11kv power line at Budgam’s Khanda is on the edge of downturn.

 

The half-unearthed pedestal of electric pole lies few meters away from receiving station of Khanda but the ineptness of PDD authorities regarding fixing this problem has put human life on peril.

 

The pole is presently erected on the bank of stream and relaxing in slant form with the help of surrounding tall popular trees and attached wires.

 

“The pole has led anxiety among the villagers, students and farmers as the pole seems to keel over at any time and results uncertainty as the authorities impotency to fix this half fallen pole.” A group of villagers revealed to Fast Kashmir.

 

They added the road where half- fallen pole is placed leads to the agricultural fields on one side and Khanda village on another side and the way often remains abuzz with the students of nearby higher secondary school and local farmers of the area.

 

The 11kv power line for which tabular pole acts base originates from receiving station Khanda to supply electricity to its adjacent villages such as Wagoora and Suthsoo Kalan.

 

Locals have urged upon the PDD authorities to adjust the electric pole in right form before becoming any public nuisance.
