Srinagar, Dec 29: Jammu Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association in collaboration with Zydex Industries Pvt. Ltd. conducted a one day workshop on design and construction of water resistant durable roads in J &K here in Srinagar on Saturday.
The purpose of conducting this one day work shop was for the capacity building of the Engineers of the state and to familiarize the engineers about the modern technologies about water resistant durable roads.
The experts from Zydex Industries Pvt Ltd included Himanshu Agarwal, Vice President and M G Prashant, General Manager, Zydex Industries, Er. Farooq Ahmed, president Civil Engineering Graduates Association welcomed the participating engineers in the workshop.
Er. Sami Arif, Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) and Er. Showkat Jeelani, Chief Engineer PMGSY Kashmir also addressed the engineers and emphasized upon the importance of conducting such technology innovative workshops and seminars.
The Chief Engineers stressed upon the engineers to update themselves with the latest technology innovations and make full use of them in engineering projects efficiently and economically. The workshop was very innovative and informative.
Er. Firdous Ahad Bhat, president J&K mechanical engineering graduates Association also attended the workshop. President J&K CEGA and President J&K MEGA said that while the Engineering associations are going to conduct more such workshops and seminars, they also said that the need of the hour is that the government shall also address to its technical human resources (engineers) and shall address their legitimate issues on priority so that the engineers would feel that their effort and hardwork is recognized and acknowledged.
