KCC&I organises MSME seminar in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 31: Seminar on bringing Tourism Sector under preview of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) was organised by the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 29th of December, 2018 at Srinagar. It was attended by President, KCC&I Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, Mr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Director, Industries & Commerce, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad, Assistant Director, Tourism Department and Mr. Afaq. T. Dar, Manager, Jammu & Kashmir Development Financial Corporation (JKDFC) besides office Bearers of KCC&I .

Representatives from the Hotel Industry, Tour & Travel operators and House boat Owners participated in the seminar.

Mr. Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad while initiating the discussion laid down importance of registration of the Tourism units under Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) for availing the benefits under the scheme.

Mr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Director, Industries & Commerce highlighted the various benefits available to the Tourism units under MSME and assured hassle free registration on top priority without any hurdles. Officers from Industries & Commerce , Tourism Department and Jammu & Kashmir Development Financial Corporation (JKDFC) participated in the interaction. Mr. Afaq T. Dar, Manager, JKDFC assured the participants of extending full cooperation to the business community.

Assistant Director, Tourism Department and Members appreciated the KCC&I for organising this interaction / Seminar with exclusive focus on the problems faced by the Tourism sector.
