Bandipora: Fareeda, mother of 14 years old slain militant Mudasir Ahmad Parrey from Hajin Bandipora who suddenly had gone missing was waiting for her son till his bullet ridden body reached home.
Parrey had gone missing with 18 year old Saqib Ahmad sheikh of Parrey Mohalla; Hajin on August 31 after an encounter took place between militants and security forces in Khos Mohalla of Hajin area.
Both the families were shocked after they came to know via social media that the duo had joined militancy ranks after gone missing from their homes. Even after deep shock Parrays family made fervent appeals to her son Mudasir through social media to return back for the sake of his parents, Fareeda narrated.
Fareeda said while tears rolling down from her cheeks, “Apart from studies, Mudasir was also working as a labourer on part time basis to assist his father financially. Parray was only hope for her sister that he will fix her marriage. He was the lone bread winner for our family after my husband’s long illness.”
She continues her husband is a chronic patient who recently has undergone through a surgery and had 16 stitches, and addressed herself as heart patient as well.
Maimoona, Parrays sister said in wails. “I was so happy that my brother will arrange all expenses for her marriage because my handicapped brother and father are unable to work.” She narrated that her all dreams crashed in front of her eyes today.
Mushtaq Ahmad Parrey, Parrays father sitting in the corner of his room, yelling silently and tears came down from his cheeks when he started staring keenly at his son’s dead body. “I am unable to work right now because of recent surgery and stitches in my back. I have to work now at any cost to feed my handicapped son, heart patient wife and a little daughter,” he said inconsolably.
Meanwhile Parry and Sheikh had gone missing on the same day and got killed together in 18 hour long gunfight that broke out in Srinagar outskirts on 08 December.
