Doda, January 18: Hundreds of People from Chiralla staged a protest against Rural Development Department as the Block Development Office Chiralla remained closed from last two months.
The people of Chiralla demanded action against BDO Chiralla. Protesters alleged that the BDO Office Chiralla always remains closed and it has not been opened since last two months as some official opened office once in a week otherwise no one visit the office.
They alleged that the department functions from Doda, Thathri or Thallela where the BDO and his staff feel suitable and public is suffering badly due to the callousness of concerned, BDO and his subordinate staff.
They alleged that before the opening of BDO office Chiralla people facing same problems.
Protesters demanded to take strict action against defaulter and immediate functioning of BDO office.
The locals further alleged that the road leading to Chiralla is in shambles and it is on mercy of contractors. Inspite of sufficient funds being available the condition of the road is alarming.
Especially in winter season, residents of Chiralla and its adjoining areas facings problem in emergency cases as the roads condition is totally wrost and people have to reached hospital by foot as roads are without black top and other works incomplete also. PMGSY and Contractors of the road are responsible for bad condition of road.
Locals demanded Governor and Administration Doda to resolved these problems immediately otherwise public of Chiralla will take the decision of blocking the national highway at Suigwari for justice.
