Srinagar, Jan 17: Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TuM) has termed the “martyrdom” of the PhD scholar Dr Abdul Ahad of Lolab in Khanyar as the handiwork of Indian agencies.
A spokesperson of Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen in a statement issued to GNS expressed concern over the silence maintained by the human rights organizations including the “so-called” State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) on the “ghastly murder”.
“Three months have passed since then, but no FIR has been lodged in this regard,” he said.
The spokesperson said the contribution of the slain scholar towards the freedom movement is immense.
“Now Indian agencies are making propaganda to defame the martyrs and their families and also linking the indigenous freedom struggle with the Daesh (ISIS) group. India wants to create anarchy in Kashmir through sectarianism for which the people have to remain vigilant,” he said.
The spokesperson paid tributes to all the “martyrs” including Dr Abdul Ahad and said “their sacrifices will yield results”.
On Sep 10 last year, Abdul Ahad Ganie, a resident of Sheikhpora, Lalpora, Kupwara, was killed in his vehicle (DL3C AY-6532) after fired upon by unknown persons with a pistol.
