Budgam, January 21: Three militants have been killed in an encounter that raged between government forces and militants in Hapatnar area of Char-e-sharief belt in central kashmir’s Budgam district.
Police sources confirmed to KNO that three militants have been killed and their identification is being ascertained. Earlier a joint team of army’s 53RR, Jammu and Kashmir police’s Counter Insurgency Group and other paramilitary forces cordoned off the area after inputs about presence of militants.
As the forces approached the suspected spot, the militants hiding there fired upon forces triggering a gunfight. In wake of the gunfight Internet services have been snapped in Budgam and Pulwama as one or two slain militants are believed to be from Pulwama.
