Additional troops arriving for election process: police

Srinagar, February 23:  Jammu and Kashmir police while responding to the panicky situation in Kashmir today said that the additional forces were called for the election purpose while arrests of some leaders and activists were a move to prevent any disturbance in the election process.

“We don’t see any reason other than the one that additional troops are being brought for the poll process,” a top police office told KNO.

He said that election commission team was arriving in Kashmir on March 5 to assess the situation and to take a call on holding polls.
