Pulwama, February 22: Residents of Patal-Bagh in Pampore & Amlar in Tral here have expressed resentment over dilapidated condition of roads in their areas.
A delegation from the Amlar village of Tral said due to potholes, the students and commuters face problems particularly in bad weather conditions.
They said that road is linked with Natonal Highway, which played an “important role in 2014 floods as traffic was diverted from here.”
They said despite repreated requests to authorities concerned, nothing has been done so far.
“Despite many reminders, the concerned officials only gave assurances but failed to black-top the road leading to the National Highway. We appeal the DC Pulwama to look into the matter,” residents said.
Similarly, the residents of Patal-Bagh Pampore have said that, their road has turned into “stream” now.
They also said that, “only fake assurances” were given to them, as no work is being started in the area to repair the roads.
The residents requested Chief Engineer R&B to look into the matter as soon as possible.
