Srinagar, Fab 06: Senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat has sought intervention of civil authorities for rationalisation of ongoing engagements in Kishen Ganga Hydroelectric power project (KGHEP) through NHPC.
Bhat said the criteria was set for such appointments where effected residents, land owners and impacted residents would benefit. “However, complaints suggest deviations and most of the deserving cases are being ignored.”
He said that even the directions of DDC Bandipore who is the nodal officer overseeing execution of MOU are flouted.
Bhat also demanded further augmentation of centrally located BEACON headquarters at Sonarwani in view of importance of the Bandipore-Gurez-Tulail road.
He said this agency has been a source of employment also for local labour and its augmentation will not only strengthen the labour class. “But will be fully equipped to take care of connectivity component.”
Bhat said that all central agencies need to take steps which empower people and the institutions.
Bhat demanded expeditious completion of Hospital at Pazalpora for getting health care to people of the area.
