Srinagar, Feb 5: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has thanked the Pakistani nation for wholeheartedly celebrating the ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’.
“The Pakistani nation always stood with Kashmiris and raised the voices of oppressed on every forum. The relation which binds the two nations is the Kalima Tayyabah which Kashmiris immensely observe by burying martyrs in shrouds of Pakistani flags,” a spokesperson of LeT Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to GNS said.
He quoted the outfit chief Mehmood Shah as saying: “The nights of darkness are soon to fade away. India has been trying to sustain its illegal occupation for more than 7 decades but it has always come across defeat. India can never suppress the legitimate freedom struggle by inflicting atrocities upon innocent Kashmiris.”
The LeT chief said that the United Nations “played” with the emotions and wishes of Kashmiris.
“Despite having UN resolutions on Kashmir for more than 7 decades, the U-turn is highly condemnable. The Pakistani government must proactively raise the Kashmir issue on international forums,” Shah said.
He appealed the government of Pakistan to take measures on international forums by establishing ‘Kashmir Desks’ in all consulates across the world “to expose the vicious face of India”.
Mehmood Shah also urged the Pakistani media to highlight Kashmir issue vigorously.
