Doda, February 11: Today PDP Ex-MLC Firdous Tak along with District President PDP Kishtwar, Sheikh Nasir and other workers staged protest in Main Bazaar of Thathri town. After Governor accords divisional status to Ladakh, the demand of Divisional Status to Chenab Valley is heating up by the social activists and politicians.

While talking with the correspondent Anzer Ayoob, Tak said, “We are very happy for this decision that Ladakh got Divisional status but at the same we are very sad that Chenab Valley is ignored always by the state and center govt. Everyone who belongs to Chenab region should be unite for demanding Divisional status for Chenab Valley.”

While attacking to BJP leader Dr Jitendra Singh Rana, MoS for PM Office, Tak said that our people voted and sent Jitendra Singh Rana to parliament for highlighting our issues and demands but unfortunately he can’t do anything for Chenab Valley in last 4 years. It is vary shamefull for these leaders who belongs to Doda district and then Dr Jitendra Singh Rana said that Chenab Valley people don’t have any need of Divisional Status, there is only PDP who is forcing the People and demanding Divisional status.
