Tral, March 14: Annual Urs of Hazat sheikh Mohammed Baqir (RA), was observed in sofigund village in south Kashmir’s Tral on thursday with religious fervor and enthusiasm.
The Urs is observed on 7 Rajab ul murajab 14th of march every year.
Every year Muslims from different parts of Kashmir throng to the resting place of saint in thousands. On Thursday, as usual thousands of devotees thronged the shrine where they recited verses of Holy Quran which was followed by Duaiya Majlis. The Urs is observed on 7 Rajab ul Murajab every year.
On the occasion, Speakers expressed hope that the teachings of the saint sheikh Baqir (RA) shall remain alive in all times to come.
During Shabi Khawani night long prayers, Duaiya Majlis, recitation of Quran pak and Durud Paak were held and many clerics threw light on different aspects of Islam.
The devotees from nook and corner of Tral and other parts of South Kashmir’s Pulwama, during the Urs prayed for long-lasting peace in Kashmir and sought peace, blessings and mercy from Almighty.
The Urs of sheikh Mohammed Baqir (RA) was also observed with religious fervor in adjacent villages of sofigund including Dar Ganie Gund , Aripal , Jawaharpora laam, Deodarpora and many more villages in Tral.
