Tral, March 28: With its efforts to electrify each & every household in upper areas of Tral in Pulwama, Power development department (PDD) has electrified around two hundred households in past few months.
Assistant Executive Engineer, PDD Tral, Mohammad Maqbool Ahanger, said that, under “Saubaghya” scheme, those households in Tral areas were electrified, who had never witnessed electricity before.
He said that, in this connection, “near about two hundred households have been electrified in last few months and the process is going on”
“In a recent move, Gujjar Basti area of Saimoh village has been electrified on Wednesday, to mitigate the problems being faced by the locals there since decades in absence of electricity,” Ahanger said, adding that, department is on toes to electrify each & every household in Tral sub division this year.
While appreciating his team, Ahanger said that, “it was not possible to carry out these works swiftly without the hard-work of the PDD employees including JEs and linemen.
He said that, his team is doing a marvelous job, and hoped that, in next couple of months, “whole Tral sub division will be electrified”
Meanwhile, locals have also hailed this move of Power Development Department (PDD) and said that, “such works in the area may prove fruitful as students may be able to study in late hours and may achieve goals”
“We are very happy with this development as lot of problems will be solved in the form of electricity in these areas,” locals said.
