Principal refuses to talk with media
Fast Kashmir Special Report
Tral, March 16: Lack of space in Government Degree college Tral, has irked students of all the streams including Arts, Science & Commerce.
The students complained that, despite the presence of new Science building in the premises, which is already constructed, all the streams are being taught in the main building, which has only 16 rooms to cater all the students.
Moreover, the students said new subjects were given to the college but “concerned authorities didn’t allow students to opt those subjects.”
A delegation of students have complained of parking issues in the college and said that concerned Principal has failed to manage the parking for the students, who come along with motorcycles and vehicles.
When tried to get Principal’s quote, he didn’t allow media to cover the story and refused to talk with media as he failed to give any statement related to student grievances.
However, ADC Tral Shabir Ahmad Raina has assured that, he will try his best to sort-out the things in the college.
He said that timely all the issues will be redressed in the college including the opening of new science block, starting of new subjects and parking issues.
Condemning the behaviour of Principal, Civil society Tral, Citizens council Tral, and others have said that, “media has every right to highlight student grievances and they shouldn’t be stopped for performing professional duties.”
Meanwhile, students have demanded that their grievances should be redressed at the earliest.
