Srinagar, March 04: Encounter break out between forces and militants in Reshie Mohalla of Tral town in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday evening.
Police told KNO that forces launched a joint cordon and search operation in the village after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants there.
Local sources told KNO that all entry and exit points have been sealed and door to door search operation was started.
However, police said that the exchange of fire took place this evening.
They said two or three militants are believed to be trapped in the gunfight.
The exchange of fire was going on when the report was last filed.
