Three injured as gas leak blast occurs in Qazigund

Qazigund, March 29: At least three persons received burn injuries in a blast caused by gas leak in Badragund area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday late evening.

Reports reaching to KNO said that on highway (NH44) in Badragund area of Qazigund when driver was cooking meals in the truck cabin, during which leakage of gas took place, cauaing damage to the vehicle and left three persons injured.

An official identified the injured persons as —Somdath Son of Jagir Ram Resident of Bishna Jammu (32), Vinod Kumar Son of Krishan Lal resident of Bishna Jammu (29) and Satnam Singh Son of Breath Singh resident of R S Pora (35) have been hospitalised, an officer said.

Meanwhile, police in this regard has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.(KNO)
