Srinagar, March 27: Two youth sustained injuries on Wednesday after being hit by bullet during clashes in Kujer area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports reaching KNO said that two youth namely Faizan Ahmed and Suhail Ahmad were hit by bullet after forces opened fire on protestors in the area during clashes.
“Both the injured have been shifted to district hospital Anantnag from where they have been referred to Srinagar’s hospital for advanced treatment,” sources said.
Locals however also alleged that a cowshed has been burnt down by forces after they fired tear gas shells inside it.
Earlier, a cordon was laid by the forces in the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants there.
Soon after the news of cordon in the area spread, youth took to streets and started pelting stones on government forces which was retaliated by disbursing tear smoke shells.
