Authorities action against illegal parking, encroachment, waste management in Doda town

Doda, April 25:  To ensure smooth flow of traffic, removal of illegal parking and dumps of waste management and encroachment, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D. Doifode- convened a meeting at DC office on Thursday here.

In the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding decongestion of Doda town which will include removal of unauthorised encroachments on roads and footpaths, removal of vendors from key crossings, creation of paid parking lots at various places, regulation of traffic etc.

Expressing satisfaction over good solid waste management in town, he directed municipal committee for further improvement in waste management by notifying three wards under municipal limits of Doda where segregation of waste i.e wet and dry waste will be segregated and collected from the notified wards and same will be dumped in the dumping ground accordingly.

Further DDC Doda directed the Executive Offficer to ban all the illegal reheries in the town and issue fresh license to the reheries through drawal system and also directed the authorities to notify the areas from where paid parking system will be initiated with in days.

SSP Mohd Shabir Malik, ASP Popsy, President Municipal Committee Ved Prakash Gupta along with Counsellors, ARTO Doda, DySP DAR Doda, DTI Doda and other officials of the allied departments also attended the meeting.
