Jammu, April 15: In a major breakthrough, Jammu and Kashmir police has seized a car involved in the recent attack and killing of RSS man in Kishtwar and has also identified one of the suspect.
As per sources to KNO, a car Alto with a number plate registration JK02AL 2477 has been seized by police near Kishtwar town and the same vehicle was used by militants to escape from the attack site after firing bullets on a medical department employee and his PSO inside Kishtwar hospital.
Sources however said that in initial investigation, it is being suspected that the number plate displayed on vehicle is fake.
Meanwhile during investigation, sources said, name of a local boy from Kishtwar, who is a vehicle mechanic by profession, also surfaced after which police also issued a look after notice along with his photograph.
” The said suspect went underground and is evading his arrest by police and police has issued a look after notice as he seem to be a main suspect of the case.” said sources of police.
They further informed that since the day of attack, extensive search operation is going on across Kishtwar districts with main focus on Dachan area.
Alongside, searches are also going on in other areas of Chenab valley, said sources. They further divulged that vital clues have so far been developed by police in this case investigation while questioning from several person is still going on.
Police sources also informed that during searches going on in the area after the attack, more than fifty licensed weapons have so far been recovered from various people who did not obeyed the directions of submitting their licensed weapons with concerned police stations.
