Srinagar Baramulla Highway Blocked For Hours

Baramullah, April 16: The residents of Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday morning took out a massive protest and blocked Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway at Pattan against the alleged murder of Jan Mohammad bhat of mamoosa Pattan.
The dead body of 30-year-old Jan Mohammad, resident of Mamoosa village of Pattan was retrieved from a stream in Chaenbal with injury marks on his face on 4th of April.
Protesters raised slogans against Baramulla administration and police officials for not arresting the accused in this murder.
They said police had failed to take any action in this regard till date.
The family members and locals of Mamoosa Pattan took out a protest and blocked Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway at Pattan for hours demanding strict punishment against the culprits.
Meanwhile SSP baramulla and SDM pattan Syed Naseer assured protestors that we will solve the case soon and the accused will be behind the bars soon.
However the protesters dispersed peacefully after the assurance of SSP baramulla and the traffic movement was restored on national Highway after three hours.
