Kishtwar, May 28: Government Hospitals are mainly utilised by poor and downtrodden people now a days, as they are unable to afford the private clinics of doctors as they takes a huge amount of money on the name of fee, and forces them to buy costely medicines from the drug stores suggested by them. To avoide such an expensive treatment poor patients always prefer the Government hospitals, but unfortunately the conditions of Various government hospitals located across the kishtwar district are unable to deliver proper services to poor people.

Government District kishtwar major hospital of most backward and neglected kistwar district, meant for providing basic health facilities to poor people of the area. But the condition of district hospital kishtwar revealed by an IHRO activist is enough to get disturbed.

Kewal Manhas while speaking Correspondent alleged that, while one of his relative was admitted in DH kishtwar, and he was attendent of the petient, but the situation inside the hospital was really shocking and enough for jolting the higher authorities. The poor patients admitted in various wards of hospital are facing a great deal of hardships while the treatment, as the hospital lacks basic facilities. There are no blankets provided to patients, disposals and drip sets are out of stock and patients have to arrange from outside. He further alleged that CMO kishtwar is acting as mute spectator in this regard, and he even doesn’t bother to attend urgent calls. Due to neglance of hospital authority poor patients have to suffer many hardships while treatment and this is not a fair thing.

International Human Rights Organisation team Chenab Valley urged DC kishtwar, to personally look into the matter and take a stern action against the officials found involved in such inhuman acts, so that poor patients may not suffer any more.
