Discusses miseries of NH stranded passengers
SRINAGAR, May 14: Janta Dal United JD(U) State President G M Shaheen on Monday met Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhawan Srinagar and discussed the present situation of stranded passengers on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway which has become hardship for people due to continuous landsliding and dilapidated conditions on NH since for several days.
Shaheen while discussing the long pending issues of development including sudden closure of Jammu-Srinagar NH due to stone shooting and landslides apprised the Governor Satya Pal Malik about the miseries of passengers and vehicles carrying essential commodities who are remaining stuck between Jawahar Tunnel and Udhampur which is the need of the hour to end uncertainty on NH.
He further apprised Governor about the present scenario of healthcare being provided to the people of the state and are facing shortage of Doctors and paramedical staff in government hospitals. He added the there are lot of places in far-flung and hilly areas where the people are deprived of basic facilities including development and healthcare system which is need of the hour to address.
Governor Satya Pal Malik gave patient hearing to the JD(U) Chief and assured to address the issues and problems including demands being faced by the people of the state.
He added that the issue of sudden closure of NH will be the top priority of the present dispensation including streamlining of healthcare system so that no one has deprived of such facilities.
