Anantnag, May 01: Kammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement(JKPM) leader Syed Iqbal Tahir has requested the government authorities that Security forces, deployed on election duty, in school and college buildings in various areas of the South Kashmir especially in Anantnag should either be relocated or the class work should be allowed to resume immediately now that elections are over.
Syed Iqbal Tahir said that
students of Government Boys Degree College Anantnag met him today and informed that College adminstration has suspended the classwork in their degree college since 18th April 2019 as some buildings of the college have been allotted to security forces deployed on election duty. The students have complained that prolonged suspension of classwork in the college will result in non completion of their syllabus.
Sharing concern of the affected students, Syed Iqbal Tahir has urged the authorities to immediately intervene in the matter so that normal class work is resumed in the college.
He also requested the administration to explore holding classes in South Campus of University of Kashmir as an immediate step. He said administration should not take such steps that would affect educational career of the students.
