Police-Public meet held at Bandipora Town

Bandipora Police continuing its efforts to strengthen police- public relationship organised a police -public interaction meeting at Block premises in Bandipora town.

The meeting was chaired by SSP Bandipora Sh Rahul Malik-IPS, accompanied by Dysp Hqr, Dysp DAR & SHO Bandipora.

A large number of people from town Bandipora, councillors,Panchs & Sarpanchs of various villages,Traders Federation, Drivers Union, Senior citizens, prominent members of civil society &youth were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, number of issues ranging from traffic congestion, market checking, shortage of power supply, road widening,drug menace, gambling & other social issues were raised by the participants. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine issues will be discussed with the concerned departments for their early redressal & issues pertaining to policing will be redressed in shortest possible time.He also sought their co-operation in harmonizing police- public relationship, besides maintaining peace & stability in the area & eradicating the menace of drugs& other social evils.

The participants hailed efforts of Bandipora Police for giving a new direction to people friendly approach of J&K Police & demanded that such interactions should continue in future as well.
