DDC flagged off rally against drug abuse and illicit trafficking at Doda

Doda, June 26: International Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking was observed by Excise Department Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Excise Range in collaboration with District Police Doda.

The theme of this year International Day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking was “Justice for Health & Health for justice”. Both the departments organised a joint rally in which students of various schools participated.

Rally was flagged off by worthy Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr. Sagar D Doifode(IAS) in presence of SSP Doda Shabir Ahmad Malik and other officers of Police and Excise Department.

The rally started from Ghanta Ghar Chowk which passes through Bus Stand & via New Distt. Hospital & culminated at the same point . The students were carrying banners & playcards & were raising the slogans against Drug abuse. The aim of organising the rally was to spread the message of Drug abuse among the people particularly the young generation.

DDC Doda said these kind of awareness programmes are necessary to be organised at every corner of the district so that the menace of drugs can be minimised which are spoiling the future of the generation,besides appealed to the younger generation dont felt prey of this menace and advised them to take part in healthy sports.
