Srinagar, June 21: Socio political activist and TV Debater Inam Un Nabi has expressed deep concern over constant escalating airfares especially at a time when the Amaranth Yatra is round the corner.
Email statement issued to FAST KASHMIR Inam expressed worry that taking flight to Kashmir and from Kashmir to other parts is getting out of budget of large middle class populace.
Inam observed that inflating airfares will hurt the tourism picture of the Kashmir valley and also adversely impact the Amarnath Yatra.
Inam made it clear that this winter when Jammu Srinagar National Highway was closed for days the airfares skyrocketed to unbelievable extent thus putting to great distress passengers.
Inam said the national highway condition calls for immediate measures as it’s condition is wrecked and at a time of Amarnath Yatra if we are not able to mend, it can cause great human loss and distress in travelling.
Inam Un Nabi opined that over the years we have seen airfares to and from Kashmir going out of hand which have given hard times to masses.
Inam appealed to all the stakeholders to ensure that an effective answer is found to the rising airfares so that difficulties of the people are eased to larger extent.
