Srinagar, 11 June: Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurship Development sponsored by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Gandhinagar, Gujarat under DST-NIMAT Project, GOI concludes at Central University of Jammu with an impactful Valedictory Session. The programme was organised by University Business Incubation Centre (UBIC) in collaboration with Faculty Induction Development Cell, Central University of Jammu.
Earlier in his message Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, CUJ, congratulated UBIC team members for taking such forthcoming initiative. He reaffirmed that the Central University of Jammu is committed to develop and nurture the culture of entrepreneurship in the region and this FDP, he hoped is a step that imparts knowledge and develop skills in diverse training methods hence, impart training to students and entrepreneurs. He expressed satisfaction that UBIC is continuously striving hard to achieve significant success. He apprised that University is now running more than 50 programmes and more than 60 major/minor projects of local and national importance are being undertaken by faculty members though being a young University. He informed that with the establishment of Satish Dhwan Centre for Space Science and two verticals of DRDO Labs will give further push to strengthen academic and research activities on campus thereby making University visible at national and international level. He reiterated that in the dynamic world order change is the only way forward and it is imperative to get future ready. He encouraged the faculty members to learn and excel in life.
Earlier, Chairperson, UBIC and Manager, UBIC briefed the gathering about the series of activities and sessions conducted by resource persons during the program. It was informed that under the guidance of Prof Ashok Aima, the University has set up University Business incubation centre and also has started various skill based courses which are first of their kind in the entire State. The primary aim of organizing such a programme is to create mentors who can facilitate the young generation in becoming successful entrepreneurs. Participants from various institutes within and outside the state actively participated in the program. Resource persons from various institutions conducted the sessions The programme was conducted in line with the provisions of UGC-HRDC for refresher courses.The event was coordinated by Dr. Varun Abrol, Mr. Manjeet Singh, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Deepak Kumar, Dr Pawan Kumar and Dr. D. Paul Saughnadhar. The proceeding of the program was conducted by Mr. Mangeet Singh and Dr. Shahid Mushtaq. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Neelika Arora.
