Srinagar, June 12: Peoples conference (PC) General Secretary Imran Raza Ansari on Wednesday expressed serious concern over massive losses caused due to incessant rains and flash floods over the past few days. He also visited the flood affected villages in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Expressing solidarity with those affected by the flood ,Imran demanded immediate compensation for the affected villagers at an earliest so that they could heave a sigh of relief.
“The incessant rains and flash floods have wreaked havoc across across Kashmir damaging houses, orchards, crops while thousands of kanals of farmland remains submerged under water. The governor administration must intervene for immediate assessment and adequate compensation of losses to farmers”, he said in a statement.
Imran today visited the affected farmers and villagers and expressed solidarity with them.
