Mother-daughter rescued after boat capsizes in Wullar Lake

Bandipora, June 19: Navy personnel stationed close to Asia’s largest fresh lake water body Wulur rescued mother-daughter duo when the boat they were rowing capsized on Wednesday afternoon.

   Reports said that Rafiqa Begum and her daughter Laali Jan were rowing a boat when it capsized near the Navy Camp. Shortly after their drowning, the Navy personnel assisted by locals swung into action and rescued both the mother and the daughter.

   A police officer while confirming the incident said that the drowning mother and her daughter were rescued by Navy Macros, police and locals.
