Kishtwar, June 26: Sheikh Nasir Hussain Advocate, District President People’s Democratic Party Kishtwar has extended his support to the strike called by the trachers of district Kishtwar against the order of Dy. Commissioner whereby it has been made mandatory that salary of teachers be drawn only after the receipt of attendance certificate duly signed by at least ten parents of wards and counter signed by the concerned Sarpanch.
While questioning the validity of DC Kishtwar’s order, Sheikh Nasir has said that the order is bad in the eyes of law and an embarrassment for the teacher community and must be revoked. He has asked DC Kishtwar that why such an order has been issued for teachers only, what about employees of other departments who never bother to visit their place of postings.
Sheikh Nasir has further said people of Marwah, Warwan, Bonjwah and other far-flung areas have repeatedly raised their voice regarding illegal functioning of several offices at Kishtwar headquarter instead of respective areas but DC has failed to make the offices functional at their appropriate places. He has also asked DC that is he himself ready to take attendance from the citizens of Kishtwar.
Sheikh Nasir has also written to the Governor of the state and appealed him to intervene and direct DC Kishtwar to revoke the order and save the thousands of teachers from inconvenience and harassment.
