Dr. Qazi Nisar anniversary- Ummat e Islami organizes Blood Donation Camp in Pulwama, Rallies Organized throughout South Kashmir.

Pulwama, June 21:  The Jammu Kashmir Ummat e Islami on Friday organized a blood donation camp in Kangan of Pulwama District on the 25th anniversary of the party patron- Shaheed e Ummat, Dr. Qazi Nisar Ahmed. The camp was conducted in supervision of Showkat Nizami- who is the acting president of Ummat e Islami for this South Kashmir district. The District hospital in Pulwama had arranged all the necessary items for the smooth conduct of the blood donation camp- The camp was organized keeping in view the dire need of blood at the District hospital of Pulwama.

More than 60 donors turned up and donated their blood for those who need blood, which will be availed to all those who urgently need blood. Senior Ummat e Islami leaders including Showkat Nizami, Mushtaq Siddiqi, Yawar Barkati, Mufti Tariq and others participated in the blood donation camp. Ummat e Islami District president, Moulana Showkat Nizami here stressed on the need of donating blood and said young people must come forward and save lives in a time when people are getting injured almost every day.

More than points of blood were donated overall.

Ummat e Islami also organized tribute rallies in South Kashmir in remembrance of the slain Mirwaiz of South Kashmir Dr. Qazi Nisar Ahmed. Mansoor ul Haq at Shopian’s Moshwara, Mohammed Shafi at Walerhama Pahalgam, Mufti Tariq at Gaberopora Pulwama, Mushtaq Siddiqi at Pinjoora Shopian, Riyaz Qadri at Shangus Islamabad, Aijaz Hashmi at Awantipora, Rameez Qadri at Qazigund Kulgam, Mehraj u Din Wagay at Shich Kulgam, Mudasir Syed at Kehribal Islamabad, Arif Ahmed at Lethpora Pulwama, Faisal Raza in Kulgarh Islamabad, Younis Ahmed in Foorah, Aaqib Dar at Panzath Qazigund among others led tribute rallies in remembrance of the slain Mirwaiz.

Paying tributes to the slain Mirwaiz- Ummat e Islami Jammu Kashmir district president Islamabad (Anantnag), Riyaz Ahmed Qadri referred to the slain Mirwaiz as a dynamic intellectual who always battled for narratives on the ground and took this logical struggle to another level altogether. He gave a vision in the form of Muslim United Front and also later united many militant outfits which even after 25 years post his martyrdom remains an unachievable dream. “Dr. Qazi Nisar was one of the pioneers of the freedom struggle who took the movement to the nooks and corners of South Kashmir and gave his platform to various political and religious outfits during and post the Muslim united front time.,” the district president said.

Moulana Gulzar Ahmed Madni, one of the most senior members of Ummat e Islami said that the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir is a result of India’s atrocious policies against the Kashmir’s local population. “India has to learn its lessons, they have not been ale to deter people even with such intensified bloodshed and war madness in the past three years, they should surrender and call off the maximalist stance to sit on a dialogue table,”he said. He said that people of Kashmir do not want war, they want a solution to the problem, that meets them everyday in one or the other shape. “From highway bans to discriminative policies, and from installation of patrols to establishment of new army camps, the conflict meets us everyday in one or the other shape, this madness needs to end, a solution needs to be walked towards.”

Irshad Ahmed Attari at Jamia masjid Islamabad called for release of Ummat e Islami members including Qazi Ahmed Yasir, Aijaz Ahmed Noori, Khurshid Ahmed, Mohammed Ashraf who have been detained under PSA and other Political prisoners including Shabir Ahmed Shah, Mohammed Shafi Shariyati, Sarjan Barkati, Noor Mohammed Kalwal, Masarat Alam, Mohammed Qasim Faktoo, Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Moulana Mushtaq Veeri, Mohammed Yasin Malik, Shahid ul Islam, Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Peerzada Mohammed Ashraf, Shams ul Viqar and others.

Meanwhile the members of Ummat e Islami visited the families of Aijaz Noori in Pulwama and also offered Fateh Khawani and martyrs graveyard in Muran Pulwama, another team of Ummat e Islami led a Fateh Khawani ceremony at Shich in Kulgam.
