Unani doctor claims to be possessing multiple degrees in English medicine 

Budgam, June 3: A Unani doctor in league with a Chemist are misleading and looting people in the name of treatment here in Chewadara area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A local chemist has erected a billboard claiming that the doctor who treats people in his shop possesses multiple degrees though the said doctor according to locals and as per government record is a simple ISM doctor.
“He is a simple ISM (Indian System of Medicine) doctor who prescribes English medicine to naïve people. He claims he is an Orthopedic, Dermatologist, General Physician and what not but actually he is a simple Unani doctor,” said a local to news agency CNS.
It is a blatant violation of Supreme Court guidelines and Medical Council of India (MCI) norms the the doctors possessing degrees in Unani, Ayurvedic or Homeopathic system of medicines are practicing the Allopathic system in the hospitals and chemist shops at the cost of the heath of gullible patients.
“Look at the prescriptions of this Unani doctor. He prescribes Depimidrol and Tricote 40 for patients to kill pain. How can he prescribe such types of English medicine when he is not authorized to do so. The Directorate of Health Service is in deep slumber and despite knowing the facts not acting against the Medical Officer in question,” the locals of Chewadar said adding that Drug Control Department should also cancel the license of the Chemist who has erected a fake advertisement board in front of his shop to befool people.
The doctor in question is Fayaz Ahmed Mir who is posted as Medical Officer at Gundipora Beerwah and treats patients on Fridays and Sundays at Rizwan Medicate in Chewdara.
When contacted, Fayaz Ahmed termed the allegations baseless saying that he never misinformed people about his degress
